Private Studio Session

The Experience

What to expect

01
Arrive & settle in

We start with tea, an introduction to the studio, and a quick tour of the tools. No pressure — the clay can wait five minutes.

02
Guided instruction

Your instructor walks you through each step, demonstrating first and then guiding your hands directly. There's no such thing as a bad question here.

03
Open making time

Once the basics click, you get uninterrupted time to experiment. Your instructor stays close, but the wheel (and the clay) are yours.

04
Choose your glaze

Pick from our range of studio glazes. We fire your piece and have it ready for collection within two weeks — or we can ship it to you.

Common Questions

Before you book

Do I need any experience to join a workshop?
Not at all. Our beginner and handbuilding sessions are designed from scratch — no prior knowledge, no special skills required. If you've never touched clay in your life, you're exactly who these sessions are for.
What should I wear?
Clothes and shoes you don't mind getting clay on. We have aprons available, but clay has a way of finding its way everywhere. Avoid anything with long, loose sleeves. Closed-toe shoes are a must near the kiln.
How do I get my piece after the workshop?
We fire and glaze your piece after the session. It's typically ready within 10–14 days. You can collect it from the studio, or we can ship it to you anywhere in the US. Shipping is charged at cost.
Can I book a workshop as a group or gift?
Yes — we offer gift vouchers for any session, valid for six months. For groups of four or more, enquire about our private studio booking where you get the whole space to yourselves. We also accommodate corporate team events.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel up to 72 hours before your session for a full refund. Within 72 hours, we offer a credit toward a future session. We understand things come up — just let us know as soon as you can.
Are materials included in the price?
Yes — all clay, tools, glazes, and firing are included in the session price. The only things you need to bring are yourself and a curiosity for the craft. We also have aprons, but you're welcome to bring your own.
